How to Create an Interactive Presentation with MCP

Use MCP to turn an AI conversation into more than a static deck: create a presentation people can open, respond to and use as the basis for a decision.

Most AI presentation workflows end at the wrong point.

The assistant produces a deck or a long answer. Someone shares it. Then the important part—questions, decisions, missing information and follow-up—moves into email, chat messages and separate meetings.

MCP makes it possible to design the presentation around what happens next.

Define the reader action first

An interactive presentation needs one clear purpose. Ask:

• Should the audience choose between options?
• Should they submit information?
• Should they challenge a recommendation?
• Should they upload a file?
• Should they talk through their feedback?

Do not add interaction as decoration. Add it because the response changes the next decision.

Select the output layer

Use a deck tool such as Gamma when the main job is a visual narrative. Use a tool such as Lovable when the main job is a custom app. Use Stated when the outcome needs a shareable Page with built-in responses and results.

For many client, research and internal-decision workflows, the Stated Page is the simpler output layer: no custom app needs to be built, but the reader can still act.

Create the presentation from the conversation

With Stated connected through MCP, give the AI a clear brief:

Create a Stated Page from this conversation for [AUDIENCE]. Lead with the recommendation, organize only the evidence required to support it, and add one interaction that helps the reader [CHOOSE / APPROVE / SUBMIT / QUESTION]. Make it ready to share.

Then open the Page and check three things before sharing:

1. the conclusion is visible without reading everything;
2. the interaction appears after the evidence needed to answer it;
3. the link has the right visibility for the audience.

Keep the result at one link

The advantage of an interactive presentation is not merely that it contains a poll or form. It is that the presentation and its result remain connected.

You can send the same link by email, WhatsApp or a social channel. Readers see the current version. Their responses belong to the same publication. You do not need to reconstruct a decision from several copied documents.

Review the outcome

After sharing, open the publication’s Results area. Views answer whether people reached it; responses show what they did. Read the detailed input before treating a top-level number as a decision.
