How to Make ChatGPT Output Interactive

For marketers, educators, researchers and teams: turn static ChatGPT output into a publication that can collect decisions, feedback, answers and conversations.

· 4 min read

A normal ChatGPT answer has one job: be read. But many real workflows need something to happen after the reader understands the information.

A marketing team may need a vote on three campaign directions. A teacher may want to test comprehension. A researcher may need structured feedback. A consultant may want a client to choose the next scenario. A recruiter may want answers rather than another email thread.

In those cases, the interesting question is not “How do I publish this ChatGPT response?” It is how do I turn AI-generated information into an interface for the next human action?

The use case: when reading is not the end of the workflow

This approach is useful for marketers, educators, consultants, researchers, product teams, agencies and anyone using ChatGPT to create content that should produce a response.

Before choosing any interactive feature, complete one sentence:

After reading this, I want the reader to ______.

Vote. Answer. Upload. Rate. Book. Ask. Buy. Speak. Download. Decide.

That verb should determine the interaction.

The problem with adding interactivity as decoration

It is easy to make a page “interactive” by adding widgets. That is usually the wrong goal.

If a poll does not change what happens next, it is decoration. If a form collects information nobody will use, it is friction. If a voice agent exists only because voice AI looks impressive, it distracts from the content.

Useful interactivity closes a loop. Information reaches a person, the person acts, and the result becomes available to whoever created the publication.

What is Stated?

Stated is a publishing layer for AI. It turns output from ChatGPT, Claude and AI workflows into Documents, Pages and Experiences that can be shared outside the model.

Pages can combine editorial content with interactive elements such as polls, quizzes, forms, ratings, questions, downloads and other response mechanisms. Experiences can provide a more immersive interface, including conversational use cases. Responses and interactions return to Stated so the publication is not disconnected from what happens after it is sent.

The goal is not to turn every AI answer into an app. It is to give important AI output just enough interface to complete its job.

Start with this prompt in ChatGPT or Claude

Suppose you have already used the model to produce a campaign strategy and now need stakeholders to choose a direction.

Prompt

Turn this strategy into a Stated Page for the marketing team. Summarize the three campaign directions clearly, preserve the reasoning behind each one, and add a poll asking the team which direction should move into production. Make the page ready to share.

The flow becomes:

Workflow

  1. ChatGPT or Claude
  2. Stated Page
  3. stakeholder reads
  4. stakeholder votes
  5. result in Stated

The publication is now part of the decision process rather than the endpoint of the writing process.

Match the interaction to the job

Poll: make a choice visible

Use a poll when the reader needs to select between a small number of clear alternatives. It works well for prioritization, preference and lightweight approval.

Quiz: check understanding

A quiz is useful when the output is educational and the next question is whether the reader understood it. The AI can help generate the material, but the quiz gives the publication a measurable outcome.

Form: collect structured information

Use a form when the next stage of the workflow depends on data from the reader. A report could collect implementation constraints; a research page could collect participant information; a proposal could gather requirements.

Question or reply: keep the response open

Not every answer fits a predefined field. A question box or reply mechanism is useful when you want the reader to challenge, extend or contextualize the work.

Voice conversation: remove the keyboard

For interviews, feedback and question-answering, a voice agent can turn the publication into a conversation. With an ElevenLabs-powered Voice Agent in Stated, the visitor can speak while the conversation and resulting responses become part of the publication workflow.

The interaction should always follow the use case, not the novelty of the technology.

Stated in the AI ecosystem

Interactivity becomes more interesting when Stated sits between multiple specialist tools.

A research-feedback workflow could look like:

Workflow

  1. Firecrawl
  2. ChatGPT
  3. Stated Page
  4. reader feedback
  5. Stated Results

A conversational research workflow could look like:

Workflow

  1. Parallel
  2. Claude
  3. Stated
  4. ElevenLabs Voice Agent
  5. interview responses

A campaign workflow might continue further:

Workflow

  1. ChatGPT
  2. Stated
  3. team approval
  4. LinkedIn / X distribution

And recurring workflows can connect automation tools such as Zapier or scheduled processes around the publication.

This is why “publishing layer” is more useful than thinking of Stated as another AI writer. The intelligence can come from the model or data provider best suited to the task. Stated handles the point where that intelligence becomes something humans interact with.

Who this is for

Use this model when the value of your AI output depends on a human response: research, education, stakeholder alignment, client work, lead capture, feedback, interviews and collaborative decision-making.

If the reader only needs to consume information, keep the publication simple. Interaction is valuable when it moves the workflow forward.

Try the interaction-first workflow

Take an existing ChatGPT or Claude conversation and identify the single most useful action a reader could take after reading it.

Then use this prompt:

Turn the useful output in this conversation into a Stated publication for [AUDIENCE]. After reading it, I want the reader to [ACTION]. Structure the content around that outcome and add the simplest interaction that enables it. Do not add interactive elements that do not help complete the workflow. Make it ready to share.

That final sentence is important. The goal is not more interactivity. It is a shorter path from AI output → human action → result.
