Parallel for Grounded Research Workflows

Use Stated's Parallel-backed research workflow to create citation-backed research Pages and incorporate grounded findings into persistent automation deliverables.

Stated uses Parallel for grounded web-research workflows that need sourced findings rather than a fetch from one known page.

When to use it

Use grounded research when the workflow starts with a question that requires discovery and synthesis across public sources.

Use Stated's Firecrawl-backed scraping workflow instead when you already know the specific public URL you need to fetch.

Run grounded research

Provide the research question and choose the appropriate depth. Quick research is the default for normal tasks. Deep research is slower and consumes more credits; use it only when the task genuinely requires thorough investigation.

The research result contains sourced prose. Stated can then structure those findings into text, table and chart blocks when the evidence supports those formats.

Citations and Sources

Research claims retain footnote citations, and Stated adds a visible Sources block listing the source URLs. Do not strip this provenance from a research deliverable.

Preview mode

Use preview when your application needs to inspect the structured findings without modifying a Page. The successful research run still consumes its applicable credits.

Create or extend a persistent artifact

Omit a Page target to create a new research Page. Pass an existing Page id, slug or Stated URL when the findings should be appended to an existing publication.

For recurring intelligence, store the publication identity in the workflow owner and deliberately update the persistent artifact across cycles.

Pending deep research

A deep research request can take longer to complete. When a run returns as pending, retain its returned run identifier and collect that same run rather than starting and charging for the research again.

Costs

Grounded research consumes Stated Credits. Quick and deep research have different costs, and optional structuring adds its own model cost. Check plan usage before expensive or bulk workflows.

Example

Workflow

  1. research question
  2. Parallel
  3. cited findings
  4. Stated Page
  5. stakeholder feedback

An orchestration layer can wrap this pattern:

Workflow

  1. n8n/backend
  2. Parallel-backed research
  3. model/agent
  4. Stated
  5. human
  6. next workflow step

Parallel provides grounded research. Stated provides the persistent artifact through which the research reaches people.
