Distribute to LinkedIn and X
Publish or schedule a native LinkedIn or X post that links back to a public Stated publication.
· 1 min read
Use Stated distribution when you want to promote a public Page, Document or Experience on LinkedIn or X while keeping the Stated publication as the canonical destination.
The native social post contains short copy and a link back to the publication. Readers can then open the full work, respond to it or share it from the original Stated link.
Before you begin
Social distribution requires:
- a connected LinkedIn or X account
- a public or otherwise shareable publication
- a plan and account role that includes social distribution
Do not use distribution for password-protected, registration-gated or sensitive material. Check visibility before preparing the post.
Publish or schedule a post
- Open the completed publication.
- Choose Share then Distribute.
- Connect LinkedIn or X if needed.
- Review the post copy and preview image.
- Choose Post now or set a schedule.
- Check the delivery status after the post is submitted.
The post should explain why someone should open the link. Lead with the outcome or finding, not a generic announcement.
Image and copy
Stated uses the publication’s available social preview image. If a usable image is not available, distribution may use a fallback without an image rather than failing the whole post.
Keep the social copy native and concise. The detailed content stays in Stated.
Check the result
Distribution status tells you whether the post was published, scheduled, skipped as a duplicate or failed. When a network returns a public post URL, Stated displays it with the distribution result.
