Zapier
Use Zapier with Stated to react when a publication is created and continue the workflow in other connected apps.
· 2 min read
Zapier lets you connect events in Stated to the other tools your team already uses.
The current Stated Zapier trigger is Page Created. Use it when creating a new Stated Page should start a follow-up workflow elsewhere—for example, notifying a team channel, adding a task, recording the link in a CRM or starting an approval process.
Before you begin
You need:
- a Stated account that can create Pages
- a Zapier account
- access to the destination app you want to connect
Create one test Page in Stated before building a production Zap. It gives you a real example to inspect in Zapier.
Set up the trigger
- In Zapier, create a new Zap.
- Choose Stated as the trigger app.
- Select Page Created.
- Connect the Stated account that owns the Pages.
- Test the trigger using a recent Page.
The trigger gives your Zap the publication information it needs to continue the workflow, including the created Page and its link.
Useful follow-up actions
Common patterns include:
- send the Page link to a team channel
- create a task for review
- add the publication link to a CRM record
- send an internal email notification
- store the link in a project or knowledge system
Keep the Stated Page as the canonical destination. Your Zap should distribute or record the link, rather than duplicate the full report into every downstream app.
Design a reliable Zap
Use a filter when not every Page should trigger the same action. For example, route only Pages with a specific tag or workflow purpose.
Test the complete flow with a non-sensitive Page first. Check that the recipient can open the link under the Page’s selected visibility setting.
What Zapier does not do
The trigger reacts after a Page has been created. It does not replace reviewing the content, choosing access settings or deciding who should receive the final work.
